Change is inevitable, progress is optional…* I love this quote and continually embrace change, or try to anyway.

On that note, we have decided to make a change. After three years of sending Strate Talk via mail, next month we are going to convert to a shorter email format—to save postage and paper. We may have your email address, but if you want to guarantee delivery, please send an email to cheryld@autrytech.com with “Strate Talk” in the subject line. We’ll add you to our list for a once a month update.
Snail mail is still an option, if you prefer it. If you want us to mail your Strate Talk, please let us know via email (use above address) or call Cheryl at 242-2750 and we’re happy to mail you our news.
It’s not too late to enroll in programs that begin in August. We offer 29 different career training programs and classes begin August 14 for most of those programs. Financial aid is available and great training is guaranteed. We accept new students until August 20. Help us spread the word!
School is back in session across the community this week. We wish all educators a successful school year and remind everyone to watch out for the flashing lights of the school zones as you travel around town.
Can you hear me now? If you need your hearing tested or would like to have access to state-of-the-art hearing testing for your employees, contact Andy Beck at 242-2750 to set up a time to use our new Hearing Trailer Training Center.
Want to get something cooking in your life? Consider enrolling in Rick Tozzi’s Italian Series, beginning this month. These cooking classes include sessions featuring the how-to’s of Egg Plant Parmigiana, Wedding Soup & Pasta Fagioli and Italian Brochette & Roasted Peppers. The first session is Tuesday, August 19 from 6-8 pm. Space is limited, so enroll today. Rick’s classes generally sell out, so don’t miss this fun-filled, tasty experience. (Yes, there is sampling!)
Autry offers safety training of all kinds. From Fall Protection, to CPR and Heartsaver AED to First Aid and more, contact Autry to customize classes to match the needs of your business. No time like now to increase safety…
Speaking of increases, our Foundation requests continue to grow. This is the time of year when students need assistance with tuition, books, supplies and this year especially, transportation and utility expenses. The Autry Foundation provides thousands of dollars in grants to students in need. Applications are available on our website or at Autry—deadlines are the 1st and 15th of each month.
Thanks to our Autry Foundation board members for serving: Aaron Brownlee, Drew Ritchie, Lori Long, Matt Davis, Sara Hill, Shaun Cummings, Don Johnson, Janet Cordell, Scott Northcutt, Cyndy Shepherd, Steve Wagner, Steve Biddle, Matt Habibi, Ann Price and Mike Klemme.
