Q: What do I need to do to enroll?

A: You may enroll in person, by phone or online for short-term classes. Enroll in person at 1201 W. Willow from 8am–8pm, Monday– Thursday, and 8am–4pm on Fridays. Call 580.242.2750 (or toll-free 888.663.2798 in Garfield County only) during business hours to enroll by phone or go online at www.autrytech.com at your convenience.

All adult students applying for admission to Autry’s full-time courses begin by taking an assessment and scheduling an appointment with a career counselor. Appointments can be made by calling during business hours. High school juniors, seniors, (those just graduating from high school) who are interested in a full-time course apply for admission during their high school spring and/or fall enrollment. However, Autry career counselors are available for consultation any time during the year.

Q: How old do I have to be to attend classes?

A: Anyone age 16 and over may enroll in short-term classes. Most full-time courses are open to high school juniors and seniors, and adults, although some courses are for adults only.

Q: Can Autry Technology Center help my company or organization?

A: Autry’s Business and Industry Services Department offers a wide range of opportunities for customized business training. From computer training, customer service skills, and organizational development, to safety training and small business management consulting–Autry has experts to help train your staff or grow your business. Trainers can provide classes at Autry or train your employees onsite.

Q: When do classes begin?

A: Most full-time programs follow standard fall and spring semester schedules. Short-term classes vary and start throughout the year. Some are one-day seminars and others meet regularly for several nights a week. Some weekend classes are available and online training is another option.

Q: What is the difference between full-time and short-term classes?

A: All training at Autry is designed to help prepare students to succeed in the workplace, but the two primary categories of training are classified as full-time and short-term.

Full-time classes meet daily and follow a standard school semester schedule. Most full-time programs offer morning, afternoon or all-day class options to meet your schedule. Some offer evening options. The full-time programs can be completed in varying time frames-from 9 months to 24 months depending on the program.

Short-term classes vary from one-day training seminars to much longer courses like EMT/Paramedic, for example.

Q: Is financial aid available?

A: Absolutely! Many of our students receive some type of financial aid. Our financial aid office is happy to work with you to find the best options to fit your needs, including scholarships, Pell grants, Autry Educational Foundation assistance and payment plans.

For the FAFSA form, Autry’s Federal School Code is 013530. Applications are available at Autry or you can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
